Lindon Meikle struck late to give Mansfield the win against Barrow.

Matt Green slotted a cool finish in from 12 yards to give the visitors the lead before Louis Almond's 20-yard drive levelled the scores for Barrow.

Joe Kendrick crossed for Ben Futcher to head the Stags back in front but the visitors were pegged back again when Almond set up Adam Boyes to fire home.

Meikle sealed the win for Mansfield when he fired into the bottom corner from 12 yards.

Cox hails 'tough' away victory

"Out of all the games we've played, I ticked this as one of the toughest away games this season so to come away scoring three goals and getting three points, I'm extremely happy today.

"When they equalised I thought coming away from here with a point is probably a good result, but the lads don't know when to give up.

"This group of players are growing game by game, they are confident in their shape, their sharpness and more than anything they are confident about the teammate that is playing alongside them."
