Rob Elliot grateful for Newcastle United opportunity

Rob Elliot says he is keen to make the most of the opportunity at Newcastle United, ahead of his first-team debut against Nottingham Forest on Tuesday.
The 25-year-old goalkeeper will make his Magpies bow in the Carling Cup third round tie, following his move from League One side Charlton.
"I don't want to take it for granted being at a Premier League club," Elliot told BBC Newcastle.
"It's an honour to be here, especially with the other keepers we have."
Prior to his move to Tyneside, Elliot had established himself as first-choice at the Addicks, having spent time on loan at Accrington and Notts County.
However the Greenwich-born custodian has to tussle with Netherlands international Tim Krul and the experienced Steve Harper for a place at St James' Park.
"I've played a lot of games, 30 or so in the Championship, and about 100 in Leagues One and Two," Elliot continued.
"That game experience will help, definitely, because it's how you learn to be a goalkeeper and what sort of keeper you're going to be.
"But when you come into this sort of level there are all sorts of pressures that come along with it, and I think it's more how you handle the pressure than it is how you handle the match.
"The goalkeeping never changes, the ball might be a bit quicker, but the context of the keeping stays the same.
"It's an opportunity to try to push myself, not many people get the chance in the Premier League, and I just want to give it my best shot and hopefully it'll lead to bigger things than just arriving at the club."
