Jersey thrash Mid-Sussex 8-0 in Inter-League Cup

Three goals in the first 10 minutes set Jersey on their way to victory
Striker Craig Russell scored four as the Jersey Football Combination thrashed the Mid-Sussex Football League 8-0 at Springfield Stadium.
Matt Rawlings, Joe Murphy, Luke Campbell and Mark Lucas were also on the score-sheet to help the islanders into the second round of the Inter-League Cup.
The eventual winners of the tournament will play as England against other European countries in the Uefa Regions Cup.
Jersey manager Craig Culkin said: "It was a solid performance for us today and it was nice to bring in some fresh faces.
"We've continued where we left off from the Island Games. All this is really in preparation for the big Muratti in May."
The islanders will face either the Surrey Elite Intermediate League or the Essex and Suffolk Border League in the second round at Springfield later in the year.
