Shrews winger Steve Leslie makes loan return to Bulls

Steve Leslie has made 120 appearances for Shrewsbury Town

Hereford United have signed Shrewsbury winger Steve Leslie on a month's loan.

Leslie, 23, spent time on loan at Edgar Street at the end of last season, scoring two goals in 11 appearances.

Pitman also confirmed that 38-year-old player-coach Russell Hoult will be in goal for the Bulls at Swindon on Saturday.

On-loan keeper David Cornell will be playing for Wales Under-21 side and Adam Bartlett is out with a long-term injury.

As for the return of Leslie to Edgar Street, Bulls manager Jamie Pitman told BBC Hereford & Worcester: "He did exceptionally well for us last season and fitted in well here.

"It's something we have wanted to do for a long time. Hopefully, he will bring in the same enthusiasm and quality as he did last year."

Shrewsbury boss Graham Turner told the club website:, external "He went to Hereford last season and we saw a good reaction. Hopefully that will be the case again."
