Bristol Rovers sign Wycombe's Scott Rendell on loan

Wycombe striker Scott Rendell has joined Bristol Rovers on a month-long loan deal.

The 24-year-old joined the Chairboys in July 2010, external from Peterborough and scored 19 goals in 43 games to help his side to promotion to League One last term.

"With all the injuries we have suffered we have been working hard to bring someone in," manager Paul Buckle told the club website., external

"He is a proven goal scorer at this level, and a great lad."

Rendell started his career at Aldershot and had spells at Forest Green Rovers, Crawley and Cambridge before signing for Peterborough in 2008.

During his time at London Road he was loaned to Cambridge, Yeovil and Torquay, where he played under Buckle and scored 13 goals in 41 appearances.

He will be available for Rovers' trip to Oxford on Saturday.
