Real Madrid continued their impressive form in the Champions League with a 4-0 win over Lyon.

It was Real's third straight win in Group D and leaves them five points clear at the halfway point of the group stage.

Karim Benzema tapped in the opener before Sami Khedira, a Hugo Lloris own goal and Sergio Ramos made it a comfortable night for the Primera Liga side.

Jose Mourinho's men have now scored 20 goals in their last five European and domestic matches.

Ajax moved into second place with a 2-0 win over Dinamo Zagreb in Croatia. Derk Boerrigter gave the Dutch side the lead before Christian Eriksen added the second late on.

Bayern Munich also looked set to keep their 100% record in Group A after Toni Kroos put them ahead in the second minute at the Stadio San Paolo, but Holger Batstuber's 39th-minute own goal gave Napoli a draw.

Napoli remain in second with five points, ahead of Manchester City - on four - who picked up their first win in the group stages at the expense of Villarreal.

Inter Milan, 17th in Serie A, moved to the top of Group B with a 1-0 win over Lille. Giampaolo Pazzini's 21st-minute effort was the only goal of the game.

Earlier in the day, CSKA Moscow thumped Trabzonspor 3-0, with Seydou Doumbia scoring two of the goals, leapfrogging the Turkish side into second spot.

Goals from Bruno Cesar and Oscar Cardozo helped Benfica to a 2-0 win over Group C rivals Basel in Switzerland.

Manchester United's 2-0 triumph at Otelul Galati moved the Premier League champions into second spot above Basel.
