Bryan Hughes signs for Accrington Stanley

Veteran midfielder Bryan Hughes has joined Accrington Stanley.

The 35-year-old has agreed non-contract terms at the Crown Ground following a spell in Iceland with IBV Vestmann.

Hughes, who previously played at Birmingham, Charlton, Hull, Derby, Burton and Grimsby, told the club's website: "It's exciting to be here.

"I'm just looking forward to getting back out on the pitch. Hopefully my experience and ability might give everybody a lift."
