Bradford City have signed Notts County midfielder Ricky Ravenhill on a two-month loan.

The 30-year-old has featured seven times for the Magpies this season and played a key role in their promotion to League One in the 2009/10 term.

"It is important the squad is strong going into a busy period of games and Ricky gives us another option," Bradford boss Phil Parkinson said.

Ravenhill goes into the squad for City's Yorkshire derby with Rotherham.

He joined County in 2009 from his hometown club Doncaster Rovers, with whom he won the Third Division title in 2003-4.

Notts boss Martin Allen added: "Rick's an absolute diamond of a bloke, a good player and still has a lot to offer.

"At times he's been a bit frustrated, which is understandable, and I'm pleased that he's frustrated because anybody that's just sitting around here dossing and couldn't care less is no good to us.

"He does care, he wants to play and he is still a good player and he can still do it."
