Burnley striker Charlie Austin will see a specialist later this week to find out the full extent of his shoulder injury.

The 22-year-old suffered a dislocated shoulder during the Clarets' 2-1 home defeat to Leeds United on Saturday.

Manager Eddie Howe told BBC Radio Lancashire: "They do say sometimes once you've had the operation if you injury it again it's not as bad.

"So fingers crossed for that. It's a huge blow to lose Charlie."

The former Swindon Town player has now suffered similar injuries twice this year.

Austin dislocated his left shoulder in training two months after joining the club in January.
