Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade signs contract extension

Slade arrived at Leyton Orient in April 2010 after being sacked by Brighton
Leyton Orient manager Russell Slade has committed his future to the club by signing a new deal until the end of the 2013-14 season.
Slade, 51, arrived at Orient in 2010, external and has won 34 of 88 games in charge.
Orient chairman Barry Hearn told the club website: "I'm absolutely delighted Russell has signed a new long-term contract with the club."
Slade was refused permission to talk to Barnsley in May over the vacant manager position, external at Oakwell.
The former Yeovil and Brighton boss, who admitted frustration at the decision but subsequently said he was happy to stay at the club,, external took Orient to within one point of the League One play-offs last season, finishing in seventh spot.
Hearn continued: "He has been shown himself to be an excellent manager during his time with us, first keeping us in the division and then delivering our best season for a generation.
"His energy and enthusiasm is infectious - and we can see what impact that has had over the last 18 months. I'm looking forward to that continuing over the next few seasons too."
