Man City face Liverpool in Carling Cup semi-finals

Manchester City will face Liverpool in the semi-finals of the Carling Cup.
Crystal Palace - conquerors of Manchester United - will play fellow Championship side Cardiff in the other semi-final to ensure a first finalist from outside the top flight since 2001.
Palace host Cardiff in the first leg at Selhurst Park on Tuesday, 10 January and City entertain Liverpool at Etihad Stadium the following day.
The return legs will take place a fortnight later.
The final will be held at Wembley on Sunday, 26 February.
Birmingham City won last season's final with a 2-1 defeat of Arsenal, external.
Manchester City booked their spot in the last four by winning 2-0 at Chelsea.
Cardiff, in the semi-finals for the first time since 1966, beat Blackburn 2-0.
