Guernsey FC kept their 10-point advantage at the of the Combined Counties League Division One after thrashing Knaphill 8-0.

Striker Ross Allen took his tally to 42 goals this season after scoring his seventh hat-trick of the campaign.

Dominic Heaume opened the scoring after eight minutes before two Allen strikes and one from Ryan-Zico Black gave the Green Lions a 4-0 half time lead.

Allen made it 5-0 before Dave Rihoy, Heaume and Jason Winch rounded it off.

The win was Guernsey's biggest victory away from home this season, with only their 9-0 win at Foote Lane against Sheerwater in September beating it.

"They weren't the strongest team we will play, but to be fair we didn't allow them to be and I thought it was a great performance," boss Tony Vance told BBC Guernsey.

"Ross Allen got what seemed like his customary hat-trick, but people worked hard, I thought Angus Mackay worked very hard in central midfield.

"We were totally in control and it was great performance," Vance added.
