Oxford City defender Chris Willmott believes the club can win promotion to Blue Square Bet South.
Willmott, 34, joined the City from Southern Premier League promotion rivals Brackley.
He told BBC Oxford:, external "If we can have a good Christmas period and kick-on into the New Year then there's no reason we can't win the league.
"If we can maintain form and keep the good results coming in then I think it's a realistic aim."
He added: "It's a young squad but it's a good squad.
"It's really tight at the top with us, Brackley, Totton and Leamington. It's all to play for."
The Marston-based side are currently fourth, two points behind leaders Leamington with two games in hand.
They will go top of the table if they record a win against Chesham on Tuesday.
The former Oxford United and Luton Town defender believes the club is moving in the right direction both on and off the pitch.
"The club is definitely set up for a higher level of football," added Willmott.
"The training facilities and changing complex are excellent and it feels like a team that is building for the future."
