"Everything's going well and we all have a lot of belief in what we can do this season. Even when we lose, heads don't drop."

Thomas frustrated at enforced break

The former Cheltenham man has enjoyed a strong start to his Dean Court career, having scored eight goals from his first 16 games - predominantly playing up-front on his own.

But he admits his enforced break from the first-team has come at a frustrating time.

"It'll be nice to have some time off over Christmas but I'd much rather be playing," he continued.

"I'm not a good watcher of games. I hate watching them.

"It's an opportunity for whoever comes in but I'm just trying to keep fit and hopefully have my place when I come back."

Bournemouth fell to their first league defeat since 22 October when they lost 2-0 at home to promotion-chasing Sheffield United on Saturday, external.
