Foderingham has seven games left in his current spell at Swindon

Goalkeeper Wes Foderingham has revealed Swindon Town want to extend his loan spell at the County Ground.

The 20-year-old has kept seven clean sheets in 11 games since joining the Robins in October , externalbut he is due to return to parent club Crystal Palace on 14 January.

"They've said to me that they want to extend the loan until the end of the season," he told BBC Wiltshire.

"I'd be happy to stay, I'm enjoying my football here at the moment."

He added: "I don't know if they have spoken to Crystal Palace about it, I've just heard that the gaffer wants me here until the end of the season, which is pleasing for me."

Foderingham has yet to make a senior appearance for Palace but has claimed a first-team spot between the sticks at Swindon, and has so far conceded just four goals during his spell.

"Playing games is the main thing for me," he added. "I need to get experience under my belt and there's no better place to do that than here."
