Plymouth Argyle boss Carl Fletcher has praised midfielder Luke Young after he scored his first ever goal for the club.

Young, 18, struck as Argyle lost 2-1 at Home Park to Devon rivals Torquay United and slipped back to the bottom of the Football League.

"I'm pleased for Youngy, he's been knocking at the door for a little while," Fletcher told BBC Radio Devon.

"I know what I'm going to get from him, he's got good quality."

The Pilgrims boss continued: "He had another chance and it was blocked as it looked like it was heading into the top corner."

Young scored on his first start since Argyle lost to Torquay in November.
