Plymouth Argyle have signed Millwall defender Darren Purse on a free transfer after a loan spell.
Purse, 34, has been at Argyle since November and has now signed until the end of the season.
"He's pleased to be here. It's great for Plymouth Argyle that we can attract players like Darren," said Argyle manager Carl Fletcher.
"He's got the experience, so when he plays that comes across and it's something we've been looking for."
Purse has made three appearances for Argyle, but has missed the last three matches after being sent off against Hereford on 17 December.
"I was glad that I came on loan and that we've been on a good run since I've been here," Purse said.
"It was disappointing to get sent off and miss the last three games but hopefully I'll be back in the side at the weekend and hopefully we'll get back to winning ways," he added.
Purse is the second player to turn a loan spell at Home Park into a permanent deal.
Striker Nick Chadwick, who had been on loan from Stockport County, signed a contract until the end of next season on Wednesday.
"There are a lot of areas we need to strengthen and things we need to do but to get one of them crossed off the list is pleasing for us," added Fletcher.
