AFC Wimbledon have broken their transfer fee record to sign Stevenage striker Byron Harrison for an undisclosed fee.

The 24-year-old, who has cost the Dons a five-figure fee, joined Stevenage from Carshalton 12 months ago, and has scored 10 goals in 46 games.

Dons boss Terry Brown told the club website:, external "He will bring goals and pace up front and he will start on Saturday.

"I am sure he will prove to be a great investment for the club."

He added: "We tried to sign Byron when he was at Ashford Town and we've kept an eye on him since then. We are delighted to have finally got our man."

Harrison becomes the Dons' second forward signing in a day, following Charlton striker Jason Euell to the club.
