Carlisle United have signed striker Jordan Cook on a one-month loan deal from Premier League side Sunderland.

Cook, 21, has made three substitute appearances for the Wearsiders first-team, and enjoyed loan spells at Darlington and Walsall.

"Sunderland know that this is a good place to send their players," boss Greg Abbott told the club website.

"They can keep an eye on him, we can give him football and we're a club that's doing well."

Abbot continued: "He's one we think could make an impact with the first team."

Fans can hear a full interview with Jordan Cook on the BBC Radio Cumbria Sport show - broadcast on Tuesday, 17 January.
