Cheltenham Town have signed Aldershot midfielder Jermaine McGlashan for an undisclosed fee.
The 23-year-old has committed to a two-and-a-half-year deal at Whaddon Road.
McGlashan started his career in non-league football before joining the Shots in 2010, where he has made 75 appearances, scoring five goals.
"He's what we are after and he fits in with where we are as a club," manager Mark Yates told BBC Gloucestershire. "Hopefully he can kick us on."
McGlashan came up against his new team last weekend, in the Robins' 2-0 win which brought them level on points with Southend at the top of League Two.
Yates continued: "It's been a big effort off everybody. He was on our radar but last week's performance nailed it down - he was a player we wanted to take."
