Rangers paid an undisclosed fee to Orebro for Bedoya in the summer

Rangers manager Ally McCoist would not rule out the prospect of sending summer signings Matt McKay and Alejandro Bedoya out on loan.

United States' Bedoya arrived on an undisclosed fee from Orebro and fellow midfielder McKay, an Australia cap, after leaving Brisbane Roar.

But the pair have amassed a mere 12 appearances between them.

Asked if they could follow John Fleck in going out on loan, McCoist said: "It's a possibility."

Disappointment in his summer acquisitions could be behind the signing of Sweden Under-21 international Mervan Celik and the trial handed to another midfielder, Motagua's Jorge Claros.

The 24-year-old Bedoya has played nine times for Rangers, while McKay, who is five years older, has had three, most of those appearances coming as substitutes.

And McCoist admits that he would consider a loan route for even such senior players if he felt it would benefit the club and the individual.

"I wouldn't rule it out, but I'd obviously have to look at numbers and take one our two things in to account, but it would be a possibility," said McCoist.

Scotland Under-21 international Fleck this week switched to Championship promotion hopefuls Blackpool until the end of the season.

Fellow forward Kal Naismith and defender Darren Cole are also currently on loan spells with Partick Thistle, who had Rangers midfielder Kyle Hutton with them until December.

"That indeed is a possibility," said McCoist about the likes of Hutton heading out of Ibrox again.

"We had allowed other players to go in Kyle Hutton, Kal Naismith and Darren Cole and I'm quite happy with that because I think it's great for them to go out and get experience.

"John has been needing games for a long time now too. To be fair to him, he did well against Motherwell and Arbroath, but he needs to play regularly.

"Steven Davis is my captain and so, when he returned from suspension, it was natural that John dropped to the bench.

"In the interests of the club and John, we allowed him to go and get games and benefit from that and be a better player as a result."
