Weaver asks for more consistency from Harrogate Town

Harrogate Town manager Simon Weaver wants his side to be more consistent after they lost 5-2 at Altrincham.

Four goals from Altrincham striker Damien Reeves and one from Jack Redshaw clinched the game after Paul Brayson's brace had levelled the scores at 2-2.

"I think we had at least as much possession as they did," Weaver told BBC Radio York.

"When we did get up there we looked dangerous. We've got to cut out these bad spells where we look vulnerable."

Altrincham went two goals up before Brayson levelled by scoring either side of half-time.

Weaver added: "We probably created as much and as many chances as they did if not more.

"But they put their chances away and we didn't at times. The attackers were on top mostly in the game.

"Both defences looked very vulnerable. Probably ours was a little bit worse than theirs.

"We were defeated today and some bad goals went in against us, but we said attacking-wise we looked a constant threat.

"We'll be in a scrap for the next few weeks until we're up past midway [in the table] and I think there are probably nine or 10 teams who are in it."
