Barnsley bring in Norwich City midfielder Korey Smith

Smith made his Norwich debut as an 18-year-old

Barnsley have signed young Norwich City midfielder Korey Smith on a one-month loan deal.

Smith, 20, has made 67 league appearances for the Canaries since making his debut in April 2009.

The youngster helped Norwich secure back-to-back promotions to the Premier League but injury has restricted him to just one appearance this season.

He is the second new arrival at Oakwell in two days, after the signing of Michael Tonge on Tuesday.
