Cardiff City's Solomon Taiwo joins Leyton Orient on loan

Cardiff City midfielder Solomon Taiwo has joined Leyton Orient on loan until the end of the season.

The 26-year-old joined the Bluebirds from Dagenham and Redbridge, external on a three-year deal in August 2009.

But Taiwo has only made 12 appearances for Cardiff and has featured only twice this season.

"Solomon is a combative midfielder," said Leyton Orient boss Russell Slade. "He'll put a foot in and has good energy in there."

Taiwo began his career with Millwall before spells with non-league sides Maidenhead, Weymouth and Sutton United.

He is the third player to join League One side Orient during the January transfer window following the signings of Dean Leacock, external and Syam Ben Youssef.
