League Two side Crawley Town have signed Arsenal striker Sanchez Watt on loan for the rest of the season.

The 20-year-old has had two loan spells at Leeds, and spent two months with Sheffield Wednesday this season.

Manager Steve Evans hopes the former England Under-19 international can boost Crawley's promotion hopes.

"Sanchez is a player we have admired for some time now and we are absolutely thrilled that a player of his abiltiy is coming to Crawley," he said.

"He had several offers to go to the Championship and League One clubs but he likes the idea of playing for a club who are challenging for promotion and the fact that I tried on a previous occasion to sign the kid.

"He will get opportunities here between now and the end of the season and I think he can make a big difference to what is already a talented squad."

Watt scored on his Arsenal debut in a 2-0 win over West Brom, external in the Carling Cup in 2009 but has made only two further appearances for the Gunners.
