St Martin/SCF fail in bid to go top of Championship

St Martin/SCF missed out on the chance to go top of Jersey's Championship, losing 2-0 to fellow promotion-hopefuls St Lawrence.

Luke Moss and Luke Maguire netted for St Lawrence, who leapfrog St Martin in the table and go second.

They are now just one point behind St Brelade but have played a game more.

Elsewhere, Portuguese Club thumped bottom-side Sporting Academics 7-0, while Jersey Nomads suffered a 1-0 defeat at struggling Magpies.

In Saturday's other fixture in the division St Clement were 3-1 winners over St John.
