Glentoran 1-0 Cliftonville

Glentoran beat Cliftonville thanks to Jim O'Hanlon's 35th-minute goal.

The swirling wind caused problems for Reds defender Aaron Smyth, who failed to clear, and the ball fell to O'Hanlon who tapped into the right-hand corner.

Cliftonville had two penalty appeals turned down but the Glens defended well to keep the Reds at bay.

The Glens fans applauded Roy Coyle's charges off the pitch and it is understood that Eddie Patterson and Pat McGibbon will be interviewed this week.

The pair were interviewed last week, along with Roy Walker, but it now looks likely that either Patterson or McGibbon will take over the Oval hotseat.
