Brentford defender Pim Balkestein has joined AFC Wimbledon on a month-long loan deal.
The 24-year-old arrived at Griffin Park in 2010 from Ipswich but has struggled to secure a starting spot and spent a spell at Rochdale earlier this season.
Balkestein, who has made 43 Bees appearances, is available for the visit of Dagenham and Redbridge on Saturday.
AFC Wimbledon boss Terry Brown told the club website: "Everyone I spoke to said that we should go and get him."
Brown added: "He is a Dutchman who can also play a bit, but we have brought him in for his other attributes and hopefully he will provide a strong presence at the back."
