Crewe Alexandra defender Harry Davis has signed a new two-year contract to keep him with the club until 2014.

The 20-year-old, who has played full-back and centre-half this season, has been a first-team regular, making 37 appearances, scoring four goals.

"I think it is reward for how my season has gone and I am pleased to be offered a new deal," said Davis.

"There wasn't a lot to think about and I was delighted to sign. I am pleased with how many games I have played."

The Burnley-born defender, son of Alex manager Steve, has come through the Gresty Road youth system, captaining both the youth team and reserves.

"I have made a few mistakes along the way but it is all about how you learn from those mistakes," added Davis.

"I am feeling more and more confident with every game that I play and I think I can be happy with the way things are going."
