Darlington 3-1 Kettering

Ryan Bowman hit a brace to give Darlington victory over relegated Kettering on the final day of the Blue Square Bet Premier season.

Bowman opened the scoring with a fine finish from the edge of the area, and doubled his tally after the break when he converted Adam Rundle's pass.

Charlie Wyke dusted himself down after being felled by Paul Johnson to pull a goal back from the penalty spot.

But Poppies midfielder Ben Ford deflected in John McReady's cross.

Westwood 'alarmed' at goals tally

Kettering Town caretaker manager Ashley Westwood told BBC Radio Northampton:

"We've not done enough to win the game; not threatened their goal too much and not had the quality to unlock their door.

"That's an alarming tally. 100 goals against only points to one thing and that's attitude but there have been factors as to why and when.

"It's been a tough season and I'm sure the club and the fans will be glad to see it over and we can re-group and get some bodies in who want to play for the club."
