Wales under-21 goalkeeper Chris Maxwell is one four players who have been released by Wrexham following their failure to secure promotion.

Maxwell lost his spot as Wrexham's first choice keeper to Joslain Mayebi last September.

The 21-year-old leaves the club along with Obi Anoruo, Max Penk and Steven Leslie

Dean Keates, Glen Little and Mathias Pogba are among the players who have been offered new deals.

Defender Nat Knight-Percival's move to Championship side Peterborough United has been confirmed.

Ex-Liverpool defender Stephen Wright, Johnny Hunt, Robert Ogleby, Nick Rushton, Leon Clowes and Declan Walker have been offered new 12 month contracts by the club.

And Jamie Tolley and Joe Clarke have been offered six month contracts by player-manager Andy Morrell.

"We have made offers to a number of the out of contract players and it is now just a matter of waiting to see if they will be accepted," Morrell told Wrexham's official website.

"It is also a time when we can cast our net around and have a look at options available to bring in some new faces."

Keeper Mayebi, Neil Ashton, Mark Creighton, Jay Harris, Adrian Csieslewicz, Danny Wright, Jake Speight, Chris Westwood, Jay Colbeck and Morrell himself are all under contract.
