Exeter City director of football Steve Perryman has been moved out of intensive care as he continues his recovery from a heart problem.
The 60-year-old former Tottenham player was taken ill during Exeter's final game of the season against Sheffield United on 5 May.
He underwent emergency surgery and had been in intensive care at Plymouth's Derriford Hospital ever since.
Perryman has been director of football at Exeter since 2003.
"For those who know Steve well they will appreciate the significance of the news that he had his first cup of tea yesterday," said a statement on the Exeter City website., external
