Accrington midfielder Will Hatfield signs new one-year contract

Midfielder Will Hatfield has signed a new one-year contract with Accrington.

The 20-year-old joined Stanley on loan from Leeds in October and made a permanent move in February following his release from Elland Road.

He scored three goals in 17 appearances for the League Two club last season, although he only started four times.

"This is a one-off club for me. I've really enjoyed my time so far, the lads are great and the team spirit is different class," said Hatfield.

He told the club website: "It's like no other club and I've really enjoyed it. It was an easy decision to make. It's taken a while but that's football and I was really happy to sign."
