Coventry City have signed out-of-contract Motherwell midfielder Steve Jennings on a two-year deal, subject to international clearance.
Jennings was on trial at the Sky Blues and played in their pre-season friendly win over Bristol Rovers on Saturday.
The 27-year-old, who began his career at Tranmere, has rejected the offer of a new contract at the SPL club.
Liverpool-born Jennings moved to Motherwell in 2009, external and made 112 appearances, scoring three times.
Manager Andy Thorn said: "We are really pleased to get Steve on board. We knew he was a good player before he came here and he's proved that while he has been with us.
"He had a little injury which meant it has taken a bit longer to get it done but we are all delighted that we have been able to complete this deal before the league season starts on Saturday.
"It gives us another option in midfield and it means we've got some really good competition in that area of the pitch."
