Derry City's Shane McEleney handed NI U21 call-up

Northern Ireland Under-21 coach Stephen Robinson has included Derry City's Shane McEleney in his squad for next Wednesday's friendly against Hungary.

McEleney has previously played for the Republic of Ireland Under-21s but has now agreed to link up with the Northern Ireland squad for the Budapest match.

His Derry City team-mate David McDaid is also in the squad.

Irish League players Conor Devlin, Ross Glendinning and Jim O'Hanlon are also included as is Swansea's Rory Donnelly.

Goalkeeping Devlin, who joined Cliftonville in the summer, has won eight Under-21 caps while Linfield keeper Glendinning, Glentoran's O'Hanlon and Donnelly are among several uncapped players in the squad.

The uncapped contingent also includes Watford's Adam Thompson, Josh Robinson, Leicester's Joey Jones, Kilmarnock's Jude Winchester, Swansea's Rory Donnelly, Wolves forward Liam McAlinden and Accrington Stanley's James Gray.
