Wolves reject bids for Matt Jarvis and Dorus De Vries

Wolves have confirmed they have rejected another bid for winger Matt Jarvis and also an approach for goalkeeper Dorus de Vries.

One-time England international, external Jarvis, 26, had been linked with a transfer to Stoke before Michael Kightly's move.

De Vries, 31, joined on a free transfer last season and made nine starts.

"No player will leave Wolves unless the club's valuation is met and it is in our best interests from a football perspective," said CEO Jez Moxey., external

"We wish to retain our best players, we are not under any financial pressure to sell. Players will remain here unless we receive satisfactory offers."

Jarvis began his career at Gillingham and, after 110 appearances for the Kent club, joined Wolves for an undisclosed fee, external when his contract expired at Priestfield.

He was one of the club's stand-out performers as they were relegated from the Premier League, scoring seven goals in 14 appearances at the end of the season.

Former Holland Under-21 international De Vries began his career at Den Haag before a move to Scotland with Dunfermline.

He moved to Swansea, external after just a year and helped the club to the League One title and then promotion to the Premier League via the play-offs., external

"These are challenging situations for all parties but we will continue to conduct our business in a respectful manner and will honour all of our commitments," added Moxey.
