Bury sign Shane Byrne on free transfer

Bury have signed free agent and former Leicester City midfielder Shane Byrne on a two-year deal.

The 19-year-old made 15 appearances for the Shakers in a three-month loan spell from Leicester last season.

He signed his first professional contract with the Foxes in the summer of 2011 and has represented the Republic of Ireland at Under-19 level.

"It's great to be back and I can't wait to get going and get into the team," Byrne told Bury's website.
