Wrexham's Mark Creighton facing lengthy injury absence

Wrexham defender Mark Creighton is facing the prospect of missing the rest of the season because of a serious knee injury.
Creighton picked up the injury in the first five minutes of Wrexham's 1-1 draw with Ebbsfleet on Saturday.
The 30-year-old will have knee reconstruction surgery and is unlikely to play any further part in Wrexham's Blue Square Bet Premier campaign.
The club have said there is "no timescale on his return at this stage".
"The player has suffered tears to his medial meniscus, ACL and MCL, as well articular cartilage loss," said Wrexham on their website.
Creighton, speaking immediately after the game, admitted he was aware of the serious nature of his injury.
"I've played football for quite some time, but that was the worst pain I have felt from an injury," said Creighton.
"Initially I thought I might even have broken a bone, but their club doctor soon made it more comfortable, reassuring me it was ligaments rather than anything else."
