Nottingham Forest striker Ishmael Miller has joined Middlesbrough on a season-long loan.

The 25-year-old worked with Boro manager Tony Mowbray during their time together at West Brom.

Miller left the Baggies for Forest in August 2011 but injury restricted him to 23 appearances last season.

"I had a few different options, but Tony knows what I can do and I really enjoy working with him," Miller told the club website.

"I like the style of football his teams play and he also made me a better player. I would have liked to work with him for longer and now I have that opportunity.

"I had ups and downs with Forest but I am very grateful to them. They are a massive club with a great fan base and wish them all the best."
