Macclesfield sign Preston striker Chris Holroyd on loan

Macclesfield have signed Preston North End striker Chris Holroyd on loan until January.

The 25-year-old could make his debut for his hometown club in Saturday's match at Lincoln.

He joined Preston from Rotherham in January but has managed just one goal in 20 league appearances for North End.

Meanwhile young duo Andre Da Costa and James Bolton have joined Blue Square Bet North side Workington on month-long loan deals.
