Sheffield United have signed Leicester City forward Paul Gallagher on a one-month loan deal.
The 28-year-old, capped once by Scotland, has only made one appearance for the Foxes this season, playing 56 minutes of the shock 4-2 League Cup defeat by Burton Albion.
Gallagher joined Leicester from Blackburn in August 2009., external
"It's been very quick because I only got a call yesterday but it was an easy decision," he told BBC Radio Sheffield.
"I'm happy to be here and I just want to play games and hopefully score some goals."
He is likely to make his debut for the Blades in Saturday's match against Bury at Bramall Lane.
Meanwhile, boss Danny Wilson has confirmed that academy director John Pemberton has left the League One club.
The 47-year-old, who turned down the chance to take over at Crawley Town in the summer, has been linked with a coaching role at Nottingham Forest.
