Ayr United 3-0 Brechin City

Ayr United recorded back-to-back league wins for the first time this season as, with 10 men, they overcame Brechin City.

The Hedgemen were presented with the opportunity to take the lead after 15 minutes when Austin McCann was adjudged to have handled inside the area.

McCann was given a straight red card for the incident, but Andrew Jackson saw his subsequent spot-kick saved by the feet of Alistair Brown.

United were ahead 11 minutes later when Michael Moffat latched on to Ryan McStay's long ball before dinking over the on-rushing Michael Andrews.

The hosts doubled their advantage eight minutes into the second half after Marc Twaddle nodded home David Sinclair's corner.

And Ayr netted again in the 68th minute as Sinclair followed up Twaddle's parried strike to notch his eighth goal of the season.
