Partick Thistle will meet Queen of the South in the final of the Ramsdens Cup after edging out Cowdenbeath.

Both sides had efforts saved in the first half with Thistle's Stephen O'Donnell and Cowden's Marc McKenzie threatening with powerful shots.

Kenny Adamson's header was blocked by visiting goalkeeper Scott Fox after the half-time interval.

The breakthrough came when Steven Lawless burst through on goal and squared for Steven Craig to convert.

The hosts pressed for the goal that would have forced extra-time and Greg Stewart's shot was saved by Fox.

Keeper Thomas Flynn then headed wide of the Thistle goal after having joined the Cowdenbeath attack for an injury-time corner.

And Jackie McNamara's Thistle side held on to secure their place in the April final.
