Shrewsbury 1-3 Yeovil

Paddy Madden struck twice as Yeovil strolled to victory at Shrewsbury in League One.

The Carlisle loanee put the Glovers ahead early on when he headed in Jamie McAllister's free-kick at the far post.

James Hayter touched home Keanu Marsh-Brown's centre to double the lead just before the hour mark, and Madden nodded in for 3-0 soon afterwards.

Matt Richards scored a consolation goal from the spot late on after debutant Daniel Johnson had barged Tom Bradshaw.

Johnson praises 'colossal' Yeovil

"Not only did we have a good work-rate but we defended and attacked as a group.

"I thought the penalty decision was harsh but at least it made us concentrate right to the end.

"We had some colossal performances and you can't pick anyone out.

"I was standing on the line and I was proud of that group that we have put together."
