Michael Rankine believes Aldershot Town will find form

Aldershot striker Michael Rankine is confident the team will be able to lift themselves off the foot of League Two.

The Shots have only won three league games this season and are currently bottom of the table on goal difference.

He told BBC Surrey: "We just went four games unbeaten and we are there or thereabouts. It will happen for us.

"It's frustrating and we've got to stick together. We're figuring out why it's not working at the moment. I am very positive it will work."

Aldershot had gone four games unbeaten in all competitions but Bradford City ended that run with a 2-0 win at the EBB Stadium on Saturday.

"In the first 10 or 15 minutes we started very well but we are not getting the rub of the green at the moment," Rankine added.

"If we get the first goal it would set us up for the rest of the game but we are not getting it."

The 27-year-old, who is yet to score in 15 league appearances this season, admits the lack of goals has been a major problem for the side.

But he insists the players are working hard to put things right.

"It's frustrating for all of us that we aren't scoring more goals and winning games as we think we should be," Rankine continued.

"I know the fans pay their money and get frustrated, which I would do. Have faith.

"Everyone gives 100 percent when they cross that line. It's not down to lack of desire or love for Aldershot.

"We are all working hard in training and on a Saturday. It's for us to rectify and I am very confident that we will."
