Tranmere 0-0 Walsall

League One leaders Tranmere were left feeling frustrated after playing out a disjointed goalless draw with Walsall.

Will Grigg missed three first-half openings for the Saddlers, including when he shot wide after keeper Owain Fon Williams mistimed a clearance.

Rovers piled on the pressure and could have gone ahead when Cole Stockton forced Aaron McCarey into a fine save.

And Andy Robinson could have won it for the hosts but he fluffed his lines from Paul Black's pin-point cross.

VIEW FROM THE DRESSING ROOM

Tranmere Rovers manager Ronnie Moore told BBC Radio Merseyside:

"I'm never satisfied with a point when we're at home. It's a game we really should be winning but they weren't going to come here, lay down and die.

"There was no spark today. It was like we were waiting for things to happen. I thought if we would get one, we would get two or three.

"It was just getting that first goal. We've huffed and puffed but we haven't blown the house down."
