Bristol City's Brett Pitman signs for AFC Bournemouth on loan

Bournemouth have signed Bristol City striker Brett Pitman on loan with a view to a permanent move - once the transfer window opens in January.

Jersey-born Pitman, 24, returns to the Cherries having left to join City in August 2010.

He started his career at Bournemouth in 2004 as a trainee and went on to score 62 goals in 197 appearances

But he struggled to make an impact at Ashton Gate scoring 20 goals in 81 appearances for the Championship club.
