Valentin Gjokaj joins Carlisle United on loan from Derby

Carlisle United have signed defender Valentin Gjokaj from Derby County on loan until 2 January.

The 19-year-old joined the Rams on a three-year deal from Lucerne and made his only appearance against Sheffield Wednesday in August.

"He's another young lad who will come in and give us options," manager Greg Abbott told the club website.

"Hopefully he will benefit from his time here and he will give us an extra bit of cover and competition."

United have also extended the loan of Joe Garner from Watford until 19 December.
