Stockport 3-4 Southport

  • Published

A late Danny Rowe own goal gave Southport a remarkable win over Stockport County in a thrilling match.

The visitors found themselves two up as both Chris Almond and Steve Akrigg struck from close in before Andy Owens added a third from the edge of the box.

County began their fightback when Paul Turnbull headed in Rowe's corner before Danny Hattersley's penalty made it 3-2.

Andy Halls thought he had grabbed a draw for the hosts but Rowe's late own goal gave Southport the points.
