Shrewsbury 2-1 Carlisle

Paul Parry grabbed a vital winner for Shrewsbury as they beat Carlisle to climb out of the League One drop zone.

Shrewsbury opened the scoring when Jon Taylor rifled an unstoppable shot high into the far corner of the net from the edge of the penalty area.

Carlisle responded strongly and were level when Liam Noble drove a low shot from 15 yards into the net.

But Parry won it after hooking in a right-footed volley from eight yards to seal a fifth win of the season.

Shrewsbury Town manager Graham Turner told BBC Radio Shropshire:

"It is a massive win for us. The most important thing is the result and the amount of confidence this gives our players."
